Back to Avalon:

Ann Wilson
“It may have been 36 years since Seattle sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson formed the border-straddling Heart in Vancouver, but the pioneering rock band has aged incredibly well judging from their show at Casino Rama on Thursday night.” More from this review here. Thanx to Seattleboy!

ALLIES Music by Heart – Ann & Nancy Wilson
Book by Celina Carvajal and Maggie Levin
Directed by Samuel Buggein Musical Direction by Paul Leschen
Tickets: FREE – A Reading of a New Musical. Open to The Public. Admission on a first-come basis.
Be the first to experience this new musical in the tradition of Hedwig & the Angry Inch. Allies is a raw, concert-style musical about a love triangle that rocks the lives of a brother & sister. Gabby & Chris Ford are as close as struggling twenty-something siblings can be, when their bond is blown apart by the seductive – and secretive – Matt Rhode. Part live rock show – complete with roadies changing the set and a kickass lead axe – and part heartstring-plucking drama, Allies features the songs of the legendary band HEART, including hits like Barracuda, These Dreams and Alone. With Celina Carvajal, Brian Charles Rooney, Chris Hall and stage directions read by Ryan Bogner.
TDHS: This is only the music by Heart, not with an actual appearance of the band! Heart management would not give it Heart’s endorsement, they told us on the official BBS. Ann & Nancy are not associated with this in any way.
From their publisher in a press release:
´The band will hit the studio in early 2009 to record their 14th album´.
´And Heart are gearing up to mark the 30th anniversary of their classic double-platinum album Dog & Butterfly in 2009 with special events and celebrations´.
From management on the official BBS: So far they’ve written five songs – which i have not heard. Producer is not attached yet.
And from Nancy herself on her journal: We are busy writing for the new studio Heart album and start recording in about 5 weeks.
