Laughing up to the sky
From the Herald Review.
This year, the Wilson sisters celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of the hit album “Dog and Butterfly,” commemorating it by writing a children’s book that tells the song’s story.
“The way the song is written, it’s kind of like a little tale that you tell a child,” Wilson said.
Along with the book comes a free download of an updated version of the song. “It’s really a nice new take on that song with elements of the opera ‘Madame Butterfly’ woven into it,” Wilson said.
Heart is gearing up to release a new album in 2010, and they’re working on getting a new song into their set list. Once they have time to practice, audiences can expect to hear the song in concert, with the album expected to be out sometime in early 2010.
Wilson said she is excited about the album because of its natural sound.
“It’s not layers of constructed music,” she said. “It’s more like live music, so you get the feel of a human conversation.”

Forgive Me
As you probably already know, the 1993 song Back To Avalon (a fan fav) has returned to the setlist this tour. The song was one of the radio singles from the 1993 superb album Desire Walks On. On the album it’s Ann’s song, but Nancy has hogged it and it sounds good! Ann is not completely shut out though :) Good! Thanx to Brett we have already been able to have a listen to some soundcheck material back in Baltimore. Now, thanx to the wonderful internet I have stumbled on this:
Amarillo, July 6th 2009

Wait For An Answer (Nancy on vocals!)
These video’s were shot on May 17th during the soundcheck in Baltimore by Brett. This site already had some audio from him here. Thanx again Brett! We all now know that Back to Avalon premiered in Detroit weeks later with Nancy doing lead vocals. You Wreck Me was taken of the setlist.
Anytime I hear Alone, it gets stuck in my head for days. Is there a Heart song that always gets stuck in your head, performing night after night?

Nancy F. Wilson
Q:
A: Right now I have new Heart music in my head because when you’re in the studio all day recording, you’re hearing it over and over. When we play live shows, I don’t usually hear the show resonating in my brain after. It’s a two-hour collection of songs. The ones that stick in my head are the Zeppelin covers (laughs).
